Logo, postcard and website design for a jeweller
logo design • stationery design • squarespace website design
Kate Higgins’ is a Melbourne-based jeweller specialising in high-end, custom wedding and engagement rings. She also designs jewellery inspired by art deco architecture under the moniker Eli Speaks.
In 2014, I designed a logo for Eli Speaks, and in 2020 worked with Kate again to develop the brand look into stationery and a Squarespace website refresh.
Kate already had a Squarespace website, but it was a few years old and lacked some essential items: basic user functionality, a foundation for search engine optimisation, and an overall aesthetic that united her business branding and spoke to her ideal customer.
Using Kate’s design inspiration for her jewellery collections – art deco arcitecture and her recent travels through Mexico – as well as the existing branding, I designed a custom repeat tile pattern that was then applied to business cards and jewellery care instruction cards.
I then proceeded to update and refresh Kate’s website, migrating the site from the older Squarespace 7.0 version to Squarespace 7.1, and inputting many of the new features available to make her website responsive to different device sizes, including mobile.
