My name is Tess McCabe.

My background is in design: having worked in publishing, government, and as a solo practitioner in graphic design; and balanced time spent in front of the computer with making handmade accessories and textile products.

In 2009, seeking a network of contemporaries in creative small businesses in Melbourne, I began coordinating Creative Women's Circle events and built its online community. In 2011, I combined my love of print publishing with my desire to learn more about women and their creative careers by releasing Conversations with Creative Women, a book of interviews with female creative practioners. The second volume of the series is due for release in 2013.

Publishing - online and in print - and spreading information and advice to people, especially women, to assist in their creative careers and businesses is my passion. I love facilitating collaborations between other creative folk, and supporting and promoting creative women and their work.
